Women Working for Change (WFC) is the female CEOs network associated with the leading business media company covering African news, including Jeune Afrique and The Africa Report, both read by 12 million decision makers per month. WFC has been instrumental in organizing the AFRICA CEO FORUM in collaboration with the World Bank for over a decade.
The primary goal of Women Working for Change is to establish a continental network, supported by prominent women CEOs and gender champions actively engaged in African countries. The network is committed to taking concrete actions and upholds values such as sorority, solidarity, adaptability, and authenticity. It has also emerged as a prominent force in promoting diversity and inclusivity within the African private sector.
Since 2022, the WFC has attracted a record number of over 1000 women CEOs and leaders to its events. Additionally, the Gender Diversity Charter has garnered support from more than 250 key African decision makers and leading enterprises in the private sector. Notable figures such as Mr. Jeremy AWORI, GROUP CEO of ECOBANK, and Mr. Serge EKUE, President of the BOAD, have actively participated in these initiatives.
